The Marieholm fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Marieholm's Thomas Sefastsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 16 minutes into the match, Thomas Sefastsson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vinberg IFK's Tobias Höijer. Tobias Höijer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Karl-Åke Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Sefastsson in the 27th minute of play forced Vinberg IFK's goalkeeper Tobias Höijer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Calle Jönsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marieholm's Thomas Sefastsson in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Johannes Haström took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edwin Arvidsson. Edwin Arvidsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Calle Jönsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Höijer having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thomas Sefastsson to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Beckeman during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vinberg IFK's Andreas Beckeman got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Karl-Åke Godholm was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Marieholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Sefastsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Höijer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomas Sefastsson in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobias Höijer saved Vinberg IFK from getting behind. Vinberg IFK's Johannes Haström got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johannes Haström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Edwin Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viggo Botvidsson charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viggo Botvidsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Viggo Botvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinberg IFK's Tobias Höijer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Vinberg IFK from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Marieholm getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Luiz Fernando Neves hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Evert Wassenius sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edwin Arvidsson skillfully saved the ball. When the final whistle sounded Marieholm left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vinberg IFK.
