After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Oscar Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. By kyrkby's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Sandberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albert Lundblad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 22 played minutes Heberg RK got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Östman. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kent Lööf couldn't finish the play. Kent Lööf scored 0-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Lundblad, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half By kyrkby were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stig Almkvist to make the kick off. Albert Lundblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Sigfridsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Håkan Östman fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heberg RK's protests and gave Håkan Östman a yellow card for diving instead. Håkan Östman hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Stig Almkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
