The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Xerez United's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Dahlkvist came free, but Jan Tham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Alvin Lindberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Tham was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Dahlkvist in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Tham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wiktor Östensson kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Matthias Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrik Enström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Enström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Lundgren in the 14th minute of play. Patrik Enström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Lundgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xerez United's Jan Tham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Dahlkvist in the 18th minute of play. Hans Dahlkvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Tham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans Dahlkvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Skoghall's Patrik Enström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Hammarbäck in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hans Dahlkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Tham was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 28th minute Hans Dahlkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Tham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xerez United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hans Dahlkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Tham was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Jan Tham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Dahlkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hans Dahlkvist was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Dahlkvist in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Tham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Hans Dahlkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Tham was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Dahlkvist in the 68th minute of play forced Xerez United's goalkeeper Jan Tham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Tham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Dahlkvist's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Alvin Lindberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Hans Dahlkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skoghall's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Dahlkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Tham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvin Lindberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan Tham having to make a save. If Hans Dahlkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Jonathan Klemensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skoghall's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Klemensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes Xerez United got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Östensson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Dahlkvist in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Tham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86thth minute of the game Jonathan Klemensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xerez United's Jan Tham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hans Dahlkvist in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Tham saved Xerez United from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Hans Dahlkvist put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jan Tham. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Skoghall had played much better football throughout.
