Thomas Valler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeca Novaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jan Sandström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeca Novaes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute, Thomas Valler made a precise shot to the right of Jan Sandström. AspenbergsÄnglar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 16th minute Thomas Valler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Zeca Novaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PESCARA CALCIO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reine Erserman during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reine Erserman hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Wilhelm Kråk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Sandström having to interfere. When Nils Biörkquist came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the AspenbergsÄnglar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils Biörkquist couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in AspenbergsÄnglar FC's zone, Thomas Valler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Sandström came out of the goal and Thomas Valler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Biörkquist in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven Ros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Reine Erserman managed to get in a good position for a shot. PESCARA CALCIO's supporters rose to their feet, but Reine Erserman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Sandström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 43 minutes of play, PESCARA CALCIO's Thomas Valler made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Sandström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils Biörkquist to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Zeca Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Zeca Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PESCARA CALCIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeca Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sven Ros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zeca Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 71 minutes into the match, AspenbergsÄnglar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Kielberg came free, but Jan Sandström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Valdemar Wallengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 80 in the game by Thomas Valler from a close distance when the talented Jan Sandström managed to make a qualified save. AspenbergsÄnglar FC's players were relieved. AspenbergsÄnglar FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Zeca Novaes scored to the left of an out of position Jan Sandström, making the score, 0-5. In the 85th minute, Nils Biörkquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AspenbergsÄnglar FC's Jan Sandström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save AspenbergsÄnglar FC from getting a goal against them. After 89 played minutes AspenbergsÄnglar FC got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Ahlin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Novaes in the 92nd minute of play forced AspenbergsÄnglar FC's goalkeeper Jan Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94thth minute of the game Zeca Novaes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AspenbergsÄnglar FC's Jan Sandström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Calle Johansson struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sven Ros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AspenbergsÄnglar FC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched PESCARA CALCIO eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
