In the 19th minute Alf Hellbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alf Hellbom in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Månsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alf Hellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Månsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Hellbom in the 30th minute of play forced The Red Rose's goalkeeper Edward Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Bruket Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Torstensson came free, but Ian Bäcklin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Oliver Åkesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edward Månsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Åkesson in the 39th minute of play. If Arvin Gallberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. Bruket Fc's Ian Bäcklin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Torstensson in the 42nd minute of play. When Adam Jonsson fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bruket Fc's protests and gave Adam Jonsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 played minutes Bruket Fc got a freekick which was hit by Adam Jonsson. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valter Torstensson to make the kick off. Valter Torstensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ian Bäcklin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edward Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Hellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Kristoffer Asklöv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Valter Torstensson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Bäcklin was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. The Red Rose's Edward Månsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Hellbom in the 90th minute of play. Bruket Fc's Ian Bäcklin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvin Gallberg in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th of the match, Alf Hellbom tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Edward Månsson got in the way and made a wonderful save.
