The tension between the Väja and the Arsenal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Väja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Karlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Jörn Burman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torsten Sandström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Alströmer in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Väja's zone, Benjamin Sjöström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Sandström came out of the goal and Benjamin Sjöström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jörn Burman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jim Ström. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Väja's Torsten Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Näver in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goalkeeper Jim Ström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patrik Hjeltman. In the 28thth minute of the game Patrik Hjeltman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal's Jim Ström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Torsten Sandström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Sjöström in the 31st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrik Hjeltman in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the game, Väja's Patrik Hjeltman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jim Ström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrik Hjeltman to strike the kick off in the second half. Väja's Patrik Hjeltman got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Hjeltman in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Ström saved Arsenal from getting behind. 60 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Jörn Burman came free, but Jim Ström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrik Hjeltman succeeded in the game's 61st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrik Hjeltman in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Ström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jim Ström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Burman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Arsenal defense, Jörn Burman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim Ström. The Arsenal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim Ström should have stopped the shot. After 75 played minutes Väja got a freekick which was hit by Martin Pålsson. When Väja's Patrik Hjeltman in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arsenal's goalie prevented a goal. Christer Carlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Benjamin Sjöström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Torsten Sandström made a huge save. Väja's Torsten Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Sjöström in the 96th minute of play. The Väja support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
