Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Per-Oskar Skröder took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Svensson in the 4th minute of play forced Mellerud IF's goalkeeper Jimmie Finman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mellerud IF's Jimmie Finman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Svensson in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Per-Oskar Skröder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellerud IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Simrishamn RK the free kick. 11 minutes into the match, Simrishamn RK's Vincent Grep broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mellerud IF's Per-Oskar Skröder got his second yellow card of the match in the 12th minute. The referee ordered Per-Oskar Skröder off the ground. Per-Oskar Skröder kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Johannes Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Simrishamn RK's Peter Täman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmie Finman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Johannes Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Mellerud IF's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Täman came free, but Jimmie Finman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Simrishamn RK getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Olle Engström hit a great ball. Jimmie Finman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Svensson in the 28th minute of play. Peter Täman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henric Hedbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jesper Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Mellerud IF's Jesper Martinsson threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wiktor Giliusson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wiktor Giliusson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 38th playminute. In the 42nd match minute, Simrishamn RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Bredberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Täman in the 45th minute of play forced Mellerud IF's goalkeeper Jimmie Finman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Täman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Finman having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd minute, Wiktor Giliusson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesper Martinsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Tommy Linqvist's late challenge caught a Simrishamn RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommy Linqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Tommy Linqvist hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th match minute, Mellerud IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Wiman to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Mellerud IF's goalkeeper Jimmie Finman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johannes Svensson. 63 minutes into the match, Mellerud IF's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Bålström came free, but Jimmie Finman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Johannes Svensson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simrishamn RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Svensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimmie Finman made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Peter Täman sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute Johannes Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Finman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Täman got free with Jimmie Finman in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 played minutes Mellerud IF got a freekick which was hit by Henric Hedbom. In the 82nd minute, Vincent Grep sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mellerud IF's Jimmie Finman didn't even have to move. Jimmie Finman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Täman in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellerud IF's goalkeeper Jimmie Finman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peter Täman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Finman having to interfere. Jimmie Finman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Johannes Svensson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 95 minute of play. The Mellerud IF players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
