Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Per-Oskar Skröder kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Mellerud IF booed when Newcastle Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Ekrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henric Hedbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Newcastle Fc's Eric Ekrot got a free kick in the 18th minute. The supporters of Newcastle Fc booed when Mellerud IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Skröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Newcastle Fc's Eric Ekrot in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mellerud IF's goalie prevented a goal. If Selman Suerkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, Tommy Linqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Lukas Bergström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukas Bergström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmie Finman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Mellerud IF defense, Valter Lindberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimmie Finman. The Mellerud IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimmie Finman should have stopped the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valter Lindberg was the one to do the kick off. Selman Suerkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jimmie Finman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jimmie Finman made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Valter Lindberg sent off a good shot on target. Jimmie Finman was a little too slow when Lukas Bergström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Tommy Linqvist hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Jimmie Finman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lukas Bergström in the 68th minute. With his leg Jimmie Finman managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Newcastle Fc's Valter Lindberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the game, Per-Oskar Skröder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellerud IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newcastle Fc the free kick. Per-Oskar Skröder kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Mellerud IF's Bo-Erik Wiman got a free kick in the 76th minute. Selman Suerkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newcastle Fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
