With an all-out effort, Göta IK's Gunnar Wallman threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Greger Haeger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gunnar Wallman was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Greger Haeger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Greger Haeger really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Göta IK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
