The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Joakim Hermansson had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Per-Åke Örtendal's late challenge caught a Fatties's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per-Åke Örtendal helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fatties booed when Älmeboda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Åke Örtendal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Älmeboda got a corner. Fatties's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Oscar Mårtensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edward Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Gadd having to interfere. With a little luck, Fatties's Tarmo Alamaa got control of the ball when Daniel Zachrisson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viktor Billström hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Älmeboda's goalkeeper Torsten Gadd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Matthias Bergstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Torsten Gadd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Älmeboda got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Lindqvist. After 34 played minutes Fatties got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Billström. 36 minutes into the match, Älmeboda's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Blomqvist came free, but Torsten Gadd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Edward Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Gadd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Gadd having to interfere. Ingmar Back's late challenge caught a Fatties's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingmar Back helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Älmeboda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingmar Back to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Edward Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Gadd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mattias Soned to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Älmeboda got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zachrisson. Matthias Bergstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes, Älmeboda's Oscar Mårtensson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tarmo Alamaa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Älmeboda reached it. With 63 minutes on the clock, Manfred Ålberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 62 minutes into the game, one of Fatties:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 73 minutes into the match, Fatties's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias Soned came free, but Tarmo Alamaa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Soned in the 74th minute of play forced Fatties's goalkeeper Tarmo Alamaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Fatties's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zachrisson came free, but Tarmo Alamaa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Zachrisson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. After having played for 92 minutes, Kristian Gabrielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fatties's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristian Gabrielsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fatties were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
