After 5 played minutes Zhittys Talanger got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Hagberg. After having played for 7 minutes, Aron Asplund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svenljunga IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Asplund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evert Ambjörnsson hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Evert Ambjörnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Ambjörnsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Svenljunga IFK! Zhittys Talanger's Ronny Wikander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aron Asplund in the 19th minute of play. Svenljunga IFK's Yakut Ünal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Arne Hägglund in the 21st minute of play. When André Linqvist came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Svenljunga IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Linqvist couldn't finish the play. If Bertil Hagberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 32 minutes, André Linqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svenljunga IFK's Malte Sundin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Malte Sundin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Malte Sundin took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronny Wikander. Ronny Wikander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 57th play minute Bertil Hagberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Yakut Ünal. 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Malte Sundin in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronny Wikander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 69 in the game by Bertil Hagberg from a close distance when the talented Yakut Ünal managed to make a qualified save. Svenljunga IFK's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertil Hagberg got free with Yakut Ünal in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Gustafsson during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Zhittys Talanger booed when Svenljunga IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Arne Hägglund took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yakut Ünal. Yakut Ünal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Yakut Ünal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Arne Hägglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ronny Wikander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Eriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Malte Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronny Wikander was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. 86 minutes into the match, Svenljunga IFK's Malte Sundin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronny Wikander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. André Linqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the match, Zhittys Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Henning Eriksson came free, but Ronny Wikander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertil Hagberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 94th playminute. When the final whistle went the supporters of Zhittys Talanger were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Svenljunga IFK side.
