Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mats Lundberg started the match with the kick off. Jarl Västberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Alrot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Klas Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Linberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merseyside Fc's Arvid Linberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Merseyside Fc from getting a goal against them. In the 13th minute, Sixten Käller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arvid Linberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Malmö FF's Sixten Käller got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25thth minute of the game Hjalmar Wallman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Malmö FF's Jarl Västberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Konrad Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute, Mats Lundberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arvid Linberg made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Mats Julin sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute, Malmö FF's Klas Lundgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arvid Linberg. Arvid Linberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Malmö FF's Klas Lundgren got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kent Vesterberg charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Vesterberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Kent Vesterberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Merseyside Fc got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Tillman. Arvid Linberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Lundberg in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Jarl Västberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Wallman in the 61st minute of the match. Sixten Käller took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arvid Linberg. Arvid Linberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Arvid Linberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klas Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Mats Julin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arvid Linberg. Merseyside Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mats Julin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Lundberg in the 70th minute of play forced Merseyside Fc's goalkeeper Arvid Linberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Skark lost his temper 71 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malmö FF! The goalkeeper, Jarl Västberg, was totally fooled by Merseyside Fc's Kent Vesterberg, who 74 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Sixten Käller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Merseyside Fc's August Malmström was substituted for Michael Alrot. In the 81st minute Klas Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Linberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Möllgren made in the 85th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Klas Lundgren immediately put the ball in play. In the 90th minute, Hjalmar Wallman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Merseyside Fc's Philip Lidström was substituted for Johannes Hermansson. 96 minutes into the game, Mats Julin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merseyside Fc the free kick. Mats Julin kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Malmö FF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
