Skalins Maskiner's Alf Hääger managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Markus Jansson in the 19 minute of the game. Thor Hedling charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thor Hedling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Skalins Maskiner got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Ek. Ted Askberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Oscar Nordgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Oscar Nordgren made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United FC's goalkeeper Ted Askberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jim Walroth in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ted Askberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jim Walroth in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Askberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Walroth in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Askberg saved Manchester United FC from getting behind. A hard shot 89 in the game by Jim Walroth from a close distance when the talented Ted Askberg managed to make a qualified save. Manchester United FC's players were relieved. Jim Walroth's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Ted Askberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Jim Walroth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bo-Erik Wenerdahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skalins Maskiner's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
