In the 2nd minute, Manfred Ambjörnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Tannefors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Hård came free, but Joachim Jonsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Skövde BK's goal looked a bit too open when Manfred Ambjörnsson came free, but Axel Ambjörnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Tannefors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Bäckman to maneuver through the defense. Nils Hegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Joachim Jonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Ambjörnsson was a little too slow when Bo Bäckman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. After 36 played minutes Tannefors IF got a freekick which was hit by Johan Asserlind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Hegg in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joachim Jonsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 minutes, Vidar Vase mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tannefors IF and the Skövde BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Hård to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bo Bäckman in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Axel Ambjörnsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bo Bäckman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Ambjörnsson having to interfere. Anders Klack's late challenge caught a Skövde BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Klack helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tannefors IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Joel Kihlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Skövde BK's zone, Thomas Kvalfält stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Axel Ambjörnsson came out of the goal and Thomas Kvalfält tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Skövde BK getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Allan Lidström hit a great ball. Skövde BK's Axel Ambjörnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bo Bäckman in the 72nd minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Joel Kihlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skövde BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tannefors IF the free kick. After 77 played minutes Skövde BK got a freekick which was hit by Joel Kihlberg. Tannefors IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Joel Kihlberg scored to the left of an out of position Joachim Jonsson, making the score, 2-1. Skövde BK's Joel Kihlberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Joel Kihlberg off the ground. After a rather tough play, Skövde BK's Simon Hård got a free kick in the 86th minute. Axel Ambjörnsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Bäckman in the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Skövde BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Bengtsson to maneuver through the defense.
