The supporters of Sandareds IF booed when Älekulla IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Ahlquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jens-Ola Abrahamsson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jim Hernström was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 60th minute Jens-Ola Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Hernström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The coaching staff of Älekulla IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jarl Lundqvist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Älekulla IF! Jon Lundberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Hernström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jon Lundberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lennart Lingren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Älekulla IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Lingren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Palmkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Joseph Wennerberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Älekulla IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5.
