After a defensive mix-up in Garsås's zone, Wictor Svensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Stabbe came out of the goal and Wictor Svensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Garsås defense, Tostão de Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gert Stabbe. The Garsås fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gert Stabbe should have stopped the shot. Jonatan Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Valström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Tostão de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åby's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert Stabbe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erik Strand, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Gert Stabbe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wictor Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute, Anton Giöck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wictor Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Åby's Wictor Svensson got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Sundström scored 1-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonatan Sjöberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garsås's goalkeeper Gert Stabbe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gert Stabbe came out of the goal and Tostão de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Valström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wictor Svensson got free with Gert Stabbe in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56thth minute of the game Wictor Svensson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garsås's Gert Stabbe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tostão de Azevedo got free with Gert Stabbe in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th match minute, Garsås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Hernström to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Garsås's Gert Stabbe got control of the ball when Erik Strand tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gert Stabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wictor Svensson in the 61st minute of the match. Gert Stabbe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wictor Svensson in the 63rd minute. If Tostão de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Garsås's zone, Jens-Erik Duset stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Stabbe came out of the goal and Jens-Erik Duset tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Svensson in the 75th minute of play forced Garsås's goalkeeper Gert Stabbe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Åby's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Sundström came free, but Jonatan Sjöberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tostão de Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gert Stabbe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Garsås! Wictor Svensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Stabbe having to interfere. Garsås succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Åby had controlled the match.
