Lennart Vestberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind IFK Norrköping's goalkeeper Joel Beckman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Norrköping's zone, Christoffer Carlsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Beckman came out of the goal and Christoffer Carlsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Vestberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Tomas Olofsson made a huge save. Edward Åström charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edward Åström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Edward Åström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christoffer Carlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adam Bergendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Beckman having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmund Åhman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joel Beckman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Bergendahl in the 53rd minute of the match. Edward Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Åhman in the 60th minute of play forced Åsarna RK's goalkeeper Tomas Olofsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, IFK Norrköping's Edward Åström got a free kick in the 61st minute. Lennart Vestberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Åhman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åsarna RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Åhman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, IFK Norrköping's Edward Åström got a free kick in the 88th minute. Simon Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Edmund Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Villiam Bergqvist's late challenge caught a IFK Norrköping's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
