An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Vallander in the 31st minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Tomas Utfal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AC Milan getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Robert Forssell hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Robert Forssell made the kick off in the second half. If Dan Asserlindh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Levander made in the 62nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dan Asserlindh however managed to control. Corneliu Toma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Utfal having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, AC Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Bergman to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, AC Milan's Alexander Bergman got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Benjamin Levander sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AC Milan's Tomas Utfal didn't even have to move. Fabio Reali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Tomas Utfal made a huge save. Barkens's Kalle Hedbom was substituted for Benjamin Levander. Fabio Reali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tomas Utfal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasile Rusu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Benet in the 85th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Barkens's Dan Asserlindh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomas Utfal. Tomas Utfal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AC Milan lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
