With a little luck, Åsarp's Gustaf Siggesson got control of the ball when Anton Johansson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Grums RK's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Åke Lindell came free, but Henrik Rosendahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Per-Åke Lindell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grums RK's Henrik Rosendahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Åke Lindell in the 23rd minute of play. Verner Olsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grums RK! In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Åsarp. Jan Sander stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Henrik Rosendahl. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Per-Åke Lindell put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Henrik Rosendahl. In the 35th minute, Jan Skytt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åsarp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Anton Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gustaf Siggesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Per-Åke Lindell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Rosendahl having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Anton Johansson made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Grums RK's Egil Sörman got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Jan Sander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henrik Rosendahl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Anton Johansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stig-Åke Finnman scored 0-4 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrik Rosendahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henrik Rosendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Åke Lindell, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Gustaf Siggesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Johansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Johansson scored 1-4 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustaf Siggesson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Johansson couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Åsarp eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
