The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Olof Österlund got free with Hampus Andersson in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Rottneros RK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Lucas Alstedt hit a great ball. With his leg Hampus Andersson managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Rottneros RK's Jan-Olof Österlund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Olof Hammarström to make the kick off. If Sören Collin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mårten Majman might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hampus Andersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glada Hudik FF reached it.
