The coaching staff of A.I.K. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alf Forssell had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of A.I.K.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Getinge BK:s goal. Göran Linquist had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Mattias Lagerberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roger Bergqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Morgan Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Sven-Arne Andreasson hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A.I.K.'s Göran Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Lagerberg in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Torsten Ivarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göran Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Tham in the 69th minute of play. When Getinge BK's Andréas Tham in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.I.K.'s goalie prevented a goal. Stamatis Zoumakis hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. A.I.K.'s Göran Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andréas Tham in the 87th minute of play. Göran Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Lagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd match minute, Getinge BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Kodre to maneuver through the defense. After 95 played minutes A.I.K. got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Ivarsson. Göran Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Lagerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
