Karl-Åke Vinström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Real Malmö FF getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ulrik Holmberg hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Karl-Ove Ros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gräddö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Ove Ros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Åke Vinström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Lundström in the 10th minute of play. Olle Ekström made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Malmö FF's Hjalmar Finman. Jörn Lundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Karl-Ove Ros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jörn Lundström was the one to do the kick off. After 57 played minutes Gräddö got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Hedvall. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Ove Ros in the 61st minute of play forced Real Malmö FF's goalkeeper Olof Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Lennart Ersman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Real Malmö FF booed when Gräddö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henric Koch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Vedholm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Olof Palmquist came out and tried to block the shot, but Nils Vedholm slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 73rd minute. In the 78th minute, Henric Koch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gräddö fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After a rather tough play, Gräddö's Pär Svensson got a free kick in the 81st minute. Karl-Åke Vinström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Låsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Richard Melin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Olof Palmquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Anton Sävström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Real Malmö FF's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Koch came free, but Olof Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96th play minutes Henric Koch shot 1-5, a short shot which went by Olof Palmquist and just under the crossbar into goal. Gräddö's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
