The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ove Helander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Serhat Yüksel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Matthias Örtlund made a huge save. After a rather tough play, KartalSpor Sk's Kent Lund got a free kick in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serhat Yüksel in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matthias Örtlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, KartalSpor Sk's Serhat Yüksel got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ove Helander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Brito's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, David Brito put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ove Helander. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Martin Eriksson took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Matthias Örtlund to make any attempt to save it. Ove Helander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Brito in the 34th minute of the match. Ove Helander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Brito in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Kent Lund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ove Helander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Göransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matthias Örtlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serhat Yüksel, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Serhat Yüksel made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, KartalSpor Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in KartalSpor Sk fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Tom Göransson walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. The Lundby IF fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when Lundby IF's David Brito looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 60 played minutes KartalSpor Sk got a freekick which was hit by Mark Bengtsson. In the 61st match minute, KartalSpor Sk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute David Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Helander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ove Helander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but David Brito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 72 minute of play. When David Brito came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lundby IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Brito couldn't finish the play. Serhat Yüksel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Matthias Örtlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Eriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Serhat Yüksel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KartalSpor Sk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. David Britos short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Ove Helander to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Kent Lund fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KartalSpor Sk's protests and gave Kent Lund a yellow card for diving instead. Ove Helander made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when David Brito sent off a good shot on target.
