In the 16th match minute, FC Elfsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henric Karlsson to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Östen Boström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joakim Stabbe, 1-0. Gustaf Sander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Joakim Stabbe made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Elfsborg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! FC Elfsborg:s Joakim Stabbe showed great skill when he stopped Roy Björkdal:s penalty. Johan Nordin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henric Karlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Stabbe had great luck who in the 33rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Roy Björkdal from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Joakim Stabbe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Roy Björkdal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Joakim Stabbe made a huge save. Roy Björkdal scored 2-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joakim Stabbe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Igelström during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to chullack FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Patrick Igelström hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ivan Höijer to strike the kick off in the second half. Joakim Stabbe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Björkdal in the 53rd minute of the match. If Ivan Höijer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johan Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ove Wallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When Martin Karlberg fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Elfsborg's protests and gave Martin Karlberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for chullack FC. Roy Björkdal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joakim Stabbe. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Björkdal in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joakim Stabbe saved FC Elfsborg from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Roy Björkdal put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joakim Stabbe. If Roy Björkdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Elfsborg's zone, Patrick Igelström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Stabbe came out of the goal and Patrick Igelström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Roy Björkdal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joakim Stabbe was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
