The supporters of Rimbo booed when Rydebäck IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Ahlstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes, Sven-Åke Mattsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rimbo and the Rydebäck IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rimbo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Sven-Åke Mattsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Åke Mattsson in the 32nd minute of play forced Rydebäck IFK's goalkeeper Ulf Bokelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Valdemar Gustavsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andreas Vallin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 33rd playminute. If Ronny Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Åke Mattsson was the one to do the kick off. Claes Jelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvin Ahlstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Lundberg's late challenge caught a Rimbo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Lundberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Rydebäck IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Lundberg to maneuver through the defense. Claes Jelm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Ove Hamnberg in the 57th minute of the match. Karl-Ove Hamnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Jelm having to interfere. Claes Jelm made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Ronny Ekström sent off a good shot on target. Rydebäck IFK's Wilhelm Bäcklin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Claes Jelm but with some difficulty. 80 minutes into the game, Claes Boklund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rydebäck IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rimbo the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rydebäck IFK's Claes Boklund got a free kick in the 80th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Rimbo's goalkeeper Claes Jelm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronny Ekström. In the 89th minute, Claes Boklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claes Jelm made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Ronny Ekström sent off a good shot on target. In the 97th minute, Ronny Ekström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
