The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Kjellkvist in the 5th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Tim Löfdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Hällnäs's Jens-Ove Kjellkvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tim Löfdahl. That made the score 1-0 after 8 minutes of play. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Aleksander Hägg hit a great ball. In the 16th minute Jens-Ove Kjellkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Löfdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tim Löfdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hällnäs's Jens-Ove Kjellkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 minutes of play, Real Madrid's 陈瑜铮 made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sverker Gerdberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 27th minute, Aleksander Hägg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Hällnäs's Ture Hansson got a free kick in the 28th minute. Sverker Gerdberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Askelöf in the 31st minute of the match. If Magnus Askelöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aleksander Hägg struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Sverker Gerdberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid. Joel Ek hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Real Madrid's Tim Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Kjellkvist in the 41st minute of play. Aleksander Hägg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Gerdberg having to interfere. Magnus Askelöf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tony Törnkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Kent Henriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tim Löfdahl was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Ture Hansson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksander Hägg in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sverker Gerdberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 69th minute, Kent Henriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hällnäs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sverker Gerdberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ralf Andersson went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Sverker Gerdberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Pålsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sverker Gerdberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Magnus Askelöf in the 93rd minute. If Aleksander Hägg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hällnäs's Tony Törnkvist got a free kick in the 97th minute.
