In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sälen BK's goalkeeper Sven Lange, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Tunnebro AIK's goalkeeper Kjell Kihlman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arvin Smed. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Lilja in the 16th minute of play forced Sälen BK's goalkeeper Sven Lange to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bo Asplund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sälen BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Asplund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Kihlman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Viktor Ahlberg came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Tunnebro AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Ahlberg couldn't finish the play. If Viktor Ahlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Bo Asplund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sälen BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bo Asplund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell Kihlman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kjell Kihlman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Asplund, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tim Lilja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Tunnebro AIK's zone, Nils-Åke Vedholm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell Kihlman came out of the goal and Nils-Åke Vedholm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nils-Åke Vedholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lars Rydberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Tunnebro AIK's Magne Forsberg got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Arvin Smed got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Tunnebro AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Asplund came free, but Kjell Kihlman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tunnebro AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herman Berglund was slow to take the kick. During this time Sälen BK's players had a chance to rest. Herman Berglund made a great header on Sälen BK's corner, it was just that Tunnebro AIK's Kjell Kihlman managed to reach the ball for a save. Sven Lange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
