Pavlo Leontovych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rutger Hallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 12 minutes, Karl-Erik Pettersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Explorer FC and the EVERTON players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Karl-Erik Pettersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viktor Stenström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobias Stigsson in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Explorer FC got a freekick which was hit by Felix Pihlgren. In the 19th minute Pål Arenberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Stenström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of EVERTON's goalie and right to Felix Pihlgren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. EVERTON's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 24th minute Fabian Ekeberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Stenström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the EVERTON defense, Tobias Stigsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viktor Stenström. The EVERTON fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viktor Stenström should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Tobias Stigsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viktor Stenström was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Pavlo Leontovych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Olof Gadd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Pihlgren struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tobias Stigsson to strike the kick off in the second half. When Fabian Ekeberg came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Explorer FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Ekeberg couldn't finish the play. Viktor Stenström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Stigsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Explorer FC's Adam Gråberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Casper Nordin, made in the 74th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, EVERTON's Sören Ekerot got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Markus Lindqvist got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pavlo Leontovych was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Explorer FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching EVERTON's performance. The match ended with a win for EVERTON.
