Karl-Oskar Gunnarsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Örjan Mårtensson made a huge save. Samuel Haegg's late challenge caught a Manchester city's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Haegg helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Ambjörby got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Haegg. Ambjörby's Samuel Haegg got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Samuel Haegg off the ground. In the 96th minute, Iker Johans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Örjan Hurtig was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Manchester city had won after a very even match.
