Oskar Brander was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the game, Jörgen Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ulrik Lund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pacorro Caminero struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Oskar Brander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broddetorp FK. Pacorro Caminero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Oskar Brander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulrik Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Holm, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Broddetorp FK's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Holm came free, but Ulrik Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pacorro Caminero made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Broddetorp FK's goalkeeper Ulrik Lund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boris Holm. A collision led to Broddetorp FK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Lennart Telin hit a great ball. Broddetorp FK's Sven-Olof Skräddare was substituted for Svante Nyqvist. Ulrik Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Ståhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Broddetorp FK's Christer Billström got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Söderberg in the 61st minute of play forced Broddetorp FK's goalkeeper Ulrik Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sture HIF booed when Broddetorp FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Telin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Broddetorp FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Söderström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oskar Brander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
