With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Melin in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulrik Lund saved Broddetorp FK from getting behind. When Lennart Telin fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Broddetorp FK's protests and gave Lennart Telin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Broddetorp FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Telin to maneuver through the defense. If Gunnar Melin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Wennerqvist in the 9th minute of play forced Broddetorp FK's goalkeeper Ulrik Lund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingvar Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jan-Åke Sandström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ulrik Lund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Broddetorp FK's Pacorro Caminero got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ludvig Apelkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pacorro Caminero in the 21st minute. Ludvig Apelkvist made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Pacorro Caminero sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Gunnar Melin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Brottsbalkens IF booed when Broddetorp FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludwig Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otto Vallmark hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pacorro Caminero in the 39th minute of play forced Brottsbalkens IF's goalkeeper Ludvig Apelkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Brottsbalkens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Melin to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Brottsbalkens IF's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Söderström came free, but Ludvig Apelkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

In the 55th minute Gunnar Melin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulrik Lund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Broddetorp FK's Sven-Olof Skräddare was substituted for Svante Nyqvist. Broddetorp FK's Christer Billström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Krister Dahlberg, made in the 59th minute of the game. Broddetorp FK's Ludwig Blomqvist got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Ludwig Blomqvist off the ground. In the 62nd minute, Ludwig Blomqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magne Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Lennart Telin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludvig Apelkvist. Brottsbalkens IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 75th minute, Sören Engström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brottsbalkens IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Andy Wennerqvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Ulrik Lund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 84th minute, Pacorro Caminero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 88th match minute, Brottsbalkens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Vallmark to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the game, Krister Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brottsbalkens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broddetorp FK the free kick. In the 96th match minute, Brottsbalkens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krister Dahlberg to maneuver through the defense. The Brottsbalkens IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brottsbalkens IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
