Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Timo Gockel started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Vallin got free with Emil Hök in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Avgustin Nichev kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Erik Josefsson in the 7th minute of play forced Norbergs IF's goalkeeper Melker Nordström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hampus Fransson hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Tom Stolpe was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Norbergs IF! Alf Ekström walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 19th minute Alf Ekström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Nordström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melker Nordström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Åke Eriksson in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Norbergs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Eriksson came free, but Melker Nordström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, LIF IF's Alf Ekström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melker Nordström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Melker Nordström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Erik Josefsson in the 41st minute of play. In the 45th minute, Alf Ekström made a precise shot to the right of Melker Nordström. Norbergs IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The Norbergs IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LIF IF were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alf Ekström was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Greger Smefeldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 56 minutes, Olov Vallengren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norbergs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Vallengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Melker Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Eriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Olov Vallengren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LIF IF's Emil Hök played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Vallengren in the 66th minute of play. Melker Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute, Albin Näver sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Norbergs IF's Melker Nordström didn't even have to move. 72 minutes into the game, Åke Eriksson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Melker Nordström. Åke Eriksson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Christer Vallin hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Melker Nordström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albin Näver in the 78th minute. The supporters of LIF IF booed when Norbergs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Martinsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Ekström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Melker Nordström came out and tried to block the shot, but Alf Ekström slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 80th minute. When Olov Vallengren came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Norbergs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Vallengren couldn't finish the play. Norbergs IF's Melker Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Eriksson in the 89th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Christer Vallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Erik Josefsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Melker Nordström made a huge save. Sonny Martinsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. LIF IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
