After having played for 12 minutes, Wiktor Torsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvidinge RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiktor Torsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Madrid CF's Ronny Siggman got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Ola Hedvall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Svante Söderquist kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Kvidinge RK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jens-Åke Asklund hit a great ball. Albin Norberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börge Biörling read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Sören Söderlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Sören Söderlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronny Siggman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svante Söderquist hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Börge Biörling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Norberg in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiktor Torsberg was the one to do the kick off. Albin Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sören Söderlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börge Biörling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sören Söderlund's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute of the match, Albin Norberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Börge Biörling saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 63rd minute, Albin Norberg made a precise shot to the right of Börge Biörling. Kvidinge RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 69th minute, Wiktor Torsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kvidinge RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Albin Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kvidinge RK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sören Söderlund 74 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Santo Silvestri shot from long distance in the 77th minute, but Börge Biörling was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Ronny Siggman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Börge Biörling having to make a save. In the 81st minute, Albin Norberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Madrid CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Kvidinge RK's Börge Biörling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Norberg in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Real Madrid CF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kvidinge RK.
