Per-Arne Termander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Ek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hans Lönn fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Östervåla IF's protests and gave Hans Lönn a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Uddeholm booed when Östervåla IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Lönn didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Dennis Ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Arne Termander was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Ek in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Arne Termander saved Östervåla IF from getting behind. Patrik Elg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Vase having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Ek in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Arne Termander saved Östervåla IF from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, one of Östervåla IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Östervåla IF. Per-Arne Termander had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Börje Sundström's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Uddeholm got a corner. Östervåla IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Christer Kalfhage ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Börje Sundström heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Per-Arne Olsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Östervåla IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Arne Olsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Åke Vase breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven-Åke Vase made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Elg in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Ek in the 36th minute of play forced Östervåla IF's goalkeeper Per-Arne Termander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dennis Ek to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Dennis Ek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Åke Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Elg, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After 67 minutes, Börje Sundström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uddeholm and the Östervåla IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Börje Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Patrik Elg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Dennis Ek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Östervåla IF's Per-Arne Termander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Per-Arne Olsson fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Åke Westerberg in the 84th minute of play forced Uddeholm's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Vase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Åke Vase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Östervåla IF. Hans Lönn took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sven-Åke Vase. Sven-Åke Vase dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. There was no doubt that Östervåla IF were the better team. Östervåla IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
