Örebro BK's Mikael Pååk got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Elliott Lundqvist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Sven-Ove Hydén notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Örebro BK's Bertil Apelkvist. Bertil Apelkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 15 played minutes Örebro BK got a freekick which was hit by Mikael Pååk. Bertil Apelkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Di Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Örebro BK's zone, Claudio Di Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Apelkvist came out of the goal and Claudio Di Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd match minute, Vederslöv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvin Gernberg to maneuver through the defense. Ingvar Finnman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Lundqvist in the 23rd minute of the match. Evert Kollberg hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Ingvar Finnman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliott Lundqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a rather tough play, Vederslöv's Alvin Gernberg got a free kick in the 28th minute. During the 32nd minute of the match Herman Rosén completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Herman Rosén a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 33 played minutes Örebro BK got a freekick which was hit by Herman Rosén. In the 43rd minute, Mikael Pååk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Örebro BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ingvar Finnman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Pååk in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudio Di Santo to strike the kick off in the second half. Mikael Pååk's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ingvar Finnman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ingvar Finnman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Pååk in the 57th minute. After having played for 58 minutes, Mikael Pååk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Örebro BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikael Pååk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingvar Finnman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Ålberg in the 60th minute of play. Mikael Pååk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingvar Finnman having to make a save. After having played for 68 minutes, Mikael Pååk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Örebro BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mikael Pååk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leif Ugla struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Ingvar Finnman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Örebro BK. Mikael Pååk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ingvar Finnman made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Pååk got free with Ingvar Finnman in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Åke Nordin during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karl-Åke Nordin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. With a little luck, Vederslöv's Ingvar Finnman got control of the ball when Mikael Pååk tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Hydén in the 95th minute of play forced Örebro BK's goalkeeper Bertil Apelkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Örebro BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
