The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Léo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Erling Hermansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Bergvik's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Allbom came free, but Erling Hermansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Svante Allbom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bergvik's Erling Hermansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Fat Kids Who Cant Win's Léo Carvalho in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bergvik's goalie prevented a goal. Erling Hermansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Carvalho in the 18th minute of the match. Kent Friberger kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Erling Hermansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Léo Carvalho went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Allan Löfkvist got free with Bengt-Arne Helberg in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute, Léo Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erling Hermansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Allan Löfkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Bengt-Arne Helberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Anders Ånger fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergvik's protests and gave Anders Ånger a yellow card for diving instead. If Per-Olof Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Olof Lindström in the 38th minute of play forced Fat Kids Who Cant Win's goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Helberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erling Hermansson came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Fat Kids Who Cant Win's Léo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Léo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 44th minute, Léo Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fat Kids Who Cant Win fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Svante Allbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Erling Hermansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Olof Lindström was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute of the match Ted Rosin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erling Hermansson skillfully saved the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Bergvik's Allan Löfkvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Arne Helberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Bengt-Arne Helberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Fat Kids Who Cant Win getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lennart Hermansson hit a great ball. Fat Kids Who Cant Win's Bengt-Arne Helberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Löfkvist in the 72nd minute of play. Lennart Hermansson hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bengt-Arne Helberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicklas Bark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Svante Allbom in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Erling Hermansson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 93 minutes, Ulf Andreasson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fat Kids Who Cant Win and the Bergvik players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fat Kids Who Cant Win getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ulf Andreasson hit a great ball. Viktor Eklund missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 95 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Bengt-Arne Helberg right hand side.
