The referee ignored Sahni BK's protests and gave Mattias Mattsson a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ik Brage's Wiktor Alfors got a free kick in the 12th minute. The Ik Brage fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Ik Brage's Wiktor Alfors looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26th minute Reda Ravaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Arne Forssberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Johansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Arne Forssberg having to make a save. Mattias Mattsson kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Stefan Bergendahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Löfkvist in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the game, Bengt-Åke Kinnman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ik Brage's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sahni BK the free kick. A collision led to Ik Brage getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bengt-Åke Kinnman hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Sahni BK's Reda Ravaud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Arne Forssberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Ik Brage's goal looked a bit too open when Ragnar Mårtensson came free, but Sven-Arne Forssberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralf Löfkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Bergendahl having to interfere. A collision led to Sahni BK getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Kennet Olsson hit a great ball. Wiktor Alfors who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Stefan Bergendahl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 69th match minute, Ik Brage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvin Stolpe to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Johansson might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sven-Arne Forssberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Johansson ran back to his position shaking his head. Valter Fors made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ik Brage's Vidar Aspengren. Ragnar Mårtensson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Bengt-Åke Kinnman had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 91st match minute, Sahni BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Olsson to maneuver through the defense. Ragnar Mårtensson struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Sven-Arne Forssberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sahni BK. Wiktor Alfors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Bergendahl having to interfere.
