Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Stig-Ove Granqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton Heath LYR's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Ove Granqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Lustig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 3rd match minute, Stockholm United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Ove Nyman to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Oliver Axelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georg Lustig was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After 7 minutes of play, Newton Heath LYR's Casper Lindholm made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Lustig was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Newton Heath LYR booed when Stockholm United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Smitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Newton Heath LYR got a corner. Stockholm United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rickard Pilblad ran over to the corner to take the kick. Simon Hamnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Axelsson in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georg Lustig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hans Rönn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georg Lustig having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Hamnberg in the 23rd minute of play forced Newton Heath LYR's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Strömqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oliver Axelsson took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Georg Lustig. Georg Lustig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Gunnar Skålberg came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Newton Heath LYR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunnar Skålberg couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd minute, Oliver Axelsson made a precise shot to the right of Georg Lustig. Stockholm United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Casper Lindholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Newton Heath LYR's Jan-Olof Strömqvist got control of the ball when Stig-Ove Hellbom tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Casper Lindholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georg Lustig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Hans Rönn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newton Heath LYR's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Rönn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Lustig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Newton Heath LYR's Jan-Olof Strömqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Hamnberg in the 47th minute of play.

After 52 minutes of play, Newton Heath LYR's Stig-Ove Granqvist made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Georg Lustig was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oliver Axelsson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 56th playminute. 60 minutes into the match, Simon Hamnberg notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Newton Heath LYR's Jan-Olof Strömqvist. Jan-Olof Strömqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Lindholm in the 63rd minute of play forced Stockholm United's goalkeeper Georg Lustig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Newton Heath LYR got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Bocklund. The crowd rose to their feet as Newton Heath LYR's Casper Lindholm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Georg Lustig. That made the score 1-6 after 74 minutes of play. Stockholm United's Georg Lustig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Stockholm United from getting a goal against them. With his leg Georg Lustig managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Newton Heath LYR's Oliver Axelsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Newton Heath LYR's Oliver Axelsson in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stockholm United's goalie prevented a goal. Newton Heath LYR's Oliver Axelsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Karl-Ove Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Stig-Ove Granqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newton Heath LYR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Ove Granqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Newton Heath LYR could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Stockholm United throughout the match.
