The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, Smålandsstenar BF's Jens Kilman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With a little luck, Smålandsstenar BF's Alexander Rosendahl got control of the ball when Ture Bjursell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hans Westerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

After 54th play minutes Christian Danielsson shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Conny Hedbom and just under the crossbar into goal. Ture Bjursell scored 3-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexander Rosendahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The coaching staff of Smålandsstenar BF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Viktor Stenberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Smålandsstenar BF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of WILD BOYS:s goal. Alexander Rosendahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliott Deckberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Deckberg in the 87th minute of play forced Smålandsstenar BF's goalkeeper Alexander Rosendahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. WILD BOYS's Ture Bjursell got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of WILD BOYS booed when Smålandsstenar BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Vinström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Dan Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. WILD BOYS's supporters rose to their feet, but Dan Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Rosendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Rosendahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ture Bjursell in the 100th minute of the match.
