After 19 minutes of play, Fårbo's Torbjörn Månsson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Orobio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruben Orobio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Lundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Kungsängens if's Ruben Orobio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarl Holmberg in the 25th minute of play. Jarl Holmberg struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ruben Orobio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fårbo. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tommy Ek to make the kick off. Fårbo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Lundström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaf Bjurström during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaf Bjurström got free with Ruben Orobio in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarl Holmberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ruben Orobio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruben Orobio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarl Holmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Holmberg in the 87th minute of play forced Kungsängens if's goalkeeper Ruben Orobio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
