The tension between the Askersund IFK and the AFC Eskilstuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AFC Eskilstuna booed when Askersund IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils Möllgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Felix Helberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zhuo Yang Yin. AFC Eskilstuna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Helberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Vilhelm Östensson kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Askersund IFK's zone, Thomas Dahlman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Botvidsson came out of the goal and Thomas Dahlman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thomas Dahlman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Arne Botvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Askersund IFK got a freekick which was hit by Nils Möllgren. Thomas Dahlman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Botvidsson having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Charles Örtendahl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Askersund IFK's Nils Möllgren got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Nils Möllgren off the ground. Nils Möllgren hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Arne Botvidsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thomas Dahlman's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Thomas Dahlman's late challenge caught a Askersund IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Dahlman helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes AFC Eskilstuna got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Dahlman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörgen Bergdal in the 59th minute of play forced Askersund IFK's goalkeeper Arne Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Thomas Dahlman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Botvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Thomas Dahlman came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the AFC Eskilstuna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Dahlman couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Dahlman in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Botvidsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arne Botvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Dahlman in the 70th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Dahlman in the 72nd minute of play forced Askersund IFK's goalkeeper Arne Botvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Askersund IFK got a freekick which was hit by Charles Örtendahl. Sture Duset fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Botvidsson having to interfere. Askersund IFK's Arne Botvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Dahlman in the 92nd minute of play. When AFC Eskilstuna's Thomas Dahlman in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Askersund IFK's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. AFC Eskilstuna fully deserved thier win.
