Tor Ström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claes Stålman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute Tor Ström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Stålman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Max Svensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Björksele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Göta BK the free kick. Max Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Rune Sundström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell-Arne Fagrell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Björksele's attentive Max Svensson managed to snatch the ball when Jan Landin made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Claes Stålman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell-Arne Beneth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Tor Ström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claes Stålman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 27 minutes into the match, Björksele's goal looked a bit too open when Sverker Dalkvist came free, but Kjell-Arne Fagrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Humberto Rial was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Björksele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Göta BK the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Björksele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Rial to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Kjell-Arne Beneth dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claes Stålman, 3-1. Tor Ström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Claes Stålman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute of the match Egil Vennerström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Stålman skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Olof Tolsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björksele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Tolsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tor Ström was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor Ström in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claes Stålman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claes Stålman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor Ström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor Ström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Sverker Dalkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell-Arne Fagrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Olof Tolsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björksele's supporters rose to their feet, but Olof Tolsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Stålman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan Landin charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Landin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Real Göta BK's Jan Landin got a free kick in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Real Göta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Ström came free, but Claes Stålman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Björksele's Tor Ström in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Real Göta BK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 78th minute Sverker Dalkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Ström in the 81st minute of play forced Real Göta BK's goalkeeper Claes Stålman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claes Stålman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Tolsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Kjell-Arne Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sverker Dalkvist in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tor Ström in the 87th minute of play forced Real Göta BK's goalkeeper Claes Stålman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Evert Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Göta BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Evert Bergqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell-Arne Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sverker Dalkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Björksele's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
