Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) August Öman made the kick off and thus started the match. In the last second Alfons Kiempe throw himself and got hold of the ball when August Öman in the 4thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunnar Bergman in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petter Lenberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute of the match Södertälje got a corner. Kil's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tage Gustafsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Södertälje's Adam Kielberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Adam Kielberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Petter Lenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Åke Sundström got free with Alfons Kiempe in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kil were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Södertälje's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Edvin Danielsson took the corner. Morgan Strandberg hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Petter Lenberg didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Södertälje's Gunnar Bergman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Åke Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petter Lenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Bergman, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of Södertälje booed when Kil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Södertälje's Adam Kielberg got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Kielberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petter Lenberg having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gunnar Bergman to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Adam Kielberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gunnar Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Petter Lenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gunnar Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Staffan Bank from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Petter Lenberg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Morgan Strandberg was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 72 minutes had been played. Morgan Strandberg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the game, Södertälje's Adam Kielberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petter Lenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Adam Kielberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Petter Lenberg made a huge save. When Adam Kielberg, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 83 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Petter Lenberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Magnus Persson might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petter Lenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Magnus Persson ran back to his position shaking his head. Adam Kielberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petter Lenberg having to interfere. If Åke Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilhelm Kleen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Petter Lenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Södertälje's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
