When Jörgen Högberg came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Kvidinge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörgen Högberg couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Vitaby IFK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Albert Wallin hit a great ball. Carl Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Kvidinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Björck to maneuver through the defense. 17 minutes into the match, Vitaby IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Högberg came free, but Jörn Malm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carl Dahlberg struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jörn Malm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kvidinge. Jörn Malm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Högberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Vitaby IFK's Kim Möller got a free kick in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vitaby IFK's zone, Jörgen Högberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Malm came out of the goal and Jörgen Högberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Dahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jörn Malm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Albert Wallin made a precise shot to the right of André Jonsson. Kvidinge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The supporters of Kvidinge booed when Vitaby IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulrik Bergstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pontus Ekman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 59th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 60 minutes, Morgan Norberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vitaby IFK and the Kvidinge players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Kvidinge fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
