In the 7th match minute, Virestad IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Tolsson to maneuver through the defense. If Erling Gullesson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Douglas Olofsson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Djurgårdens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Douglas Olofsson couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Vennerkvist during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexander Vennerkvist hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Erling Gullesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Eklund having to interfere. If Marcus Vallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Marcus Vallin came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Virestad IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcus Vallin couldn't finish the play. Christer Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erling Gullesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Marcus Vallin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Maximilian Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Olofsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Christer Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erling Gullesson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Christer Eklund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Djurgårdens IF. A collision led to Virestad IF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Alexander Vennerkvist hit a great ball. Marcus Vallin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Djurgårdens IF's zone, Marcus Vallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gottfrid Hääger came out of the goal and Marcus Vallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Stellan Åkerberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gottfrid Hääger. Stellan Åkerberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Djurgårdens IF's Gottfrid Hääger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Djurgårdens IF from getting a goal against them. If Maximilian Westerstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
