But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djimmy Dessaint couldn't finish the play. Edwin Strandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Brandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, Svanskog IF's Viktor Samuelsson got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Brandin in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin Strandberg saved Atlético Genarp from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Svanskog IF's goalkeeper Anthon Blanck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Håkan Hedvall. With a little luck, Svanskog IF's Anthon Blanck got control of the ball when David Dalberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Anthon Blanck. Djimmy Dessaint sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Djimmy Dessaint got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustav Hjeltman was the one to do the kick off.
