Markus Arenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Öman, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. When Robert Stenquist fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dannebrogen FC's protests and gave Robert Stenquist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dannebrogen FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Markus Arenius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Blom's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Alvar Stenkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Markus Arenius having to make a save. Fredrik Hellström hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The attack was good, but when Carl Blom in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 77 minutes into the match, Dannebrogen FC's goalkeeper Markus Arenius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvar Stenkvist. Dannebrogen FC's Markus Arenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Blom in the 79th minute of play. Markus Arenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uno Göransson in the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Dannebrogen FC booed when Lannavaara IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Forsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dannebrogen FC's zone, Uno Göransson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Arenius came out of the goal and Uno Göransson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Carl Blom took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Markus Arenius to make any attempt to save it. Lannavaara IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
