Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sven-Arne Holmgren started the match with the kick off. Alexander Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Säfström having to interfere. Kent Säfström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sixten Axelsson in the 4th minute. Brandstorp FK's Kent Säfström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Åke Deckberg in the 8th minute of play. Jens Norström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klas Almstedt having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Knutby IFK's goalkeeper Klas Almstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Jens Norström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Brandstorp FK's Jens Norström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Klas Almstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Brandstorp FK were furious when Ulf Rudkvist was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 34th minute, one of Brandstorp FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brandstorp FK. The referee gave Knutby IFK a penalty, 37 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Thor Torstensson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brandstorp FK's Kent Säfström. 1-1. Sven-Åke Deckberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conny Ekblom during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Conny Ekblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the game, Sven-Åke Deckberg lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Kent Säfström. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Philip Termander charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Termander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st match minute, Brandstorp FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Termander to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Birger Bremming had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kent Säfström. Brandstorp FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Birger Bremming was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When Sven-Åke Deckberg came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Knutby IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Åke Deckberg couldn't finish the play. When Daniel Klint fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brandstorp FK's protests and gave Daniel Klint a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Klint kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Kent Säfström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Bremming, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sven-Åke Deckberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the game, Birger Bremming cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Kent Säfström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sven-Åke Deckberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Säfström having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Birger Bremming managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knutby IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Bremming was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kent Säfström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 played minutes Brandstorp FK got a freekick which was hit by Conny Ekblom. In the 91st match minute, Brandstorp FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philip Termander to maneuver through the defense. Kent Säfström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Åke Deckberg's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Knutby IFK fully deserved thier win.
