David Arhenius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walter Siöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Falkrans in the 21st minute of play. When Marc Koch fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Birmingham FC 1875's protests and gave Marc Koch a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Birmingham FC 1875 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Arvin Hjälm shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Benjamin Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birmingham FC 1875's David Arhenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Birmingham FC 1875 from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Fc.Internazionale's Emil Nyström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Arhenius. That made the score 0-3 after 66 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kåre Thedin got free with David Arhenius in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Birmingham FC 1875 booed when Fc.Internazionale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petter Harman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Gernberg charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Gernberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Birmingham FC 1875's zone, Emil Nyström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Arhenius came out of the goal and Emil Nyström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Birmingham FC 1875's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Nyström came free, but David Arhenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walter Siöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Falkrans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bror Löfkvist during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, Bror Löfkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Fc.Internazionale left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Birmingham FC 1875.
