In the 63rd minute Herbert Hasselqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Pilberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Kaxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oskar Lägdin in the 90th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Lukas Juhlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Gävle supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Västerås M.M's performance. The match ended with a win for Västerås M.M.
